Dr. Ador Torneo is involved in different capacity-building programs with various grassroots, civil society, local government, and national government agencies. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of the Philippines, and his Ph.D. in Public Administration from Konkuk University in Seoul, Korea.
His work experience also includes projects with the Department of Political Science at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden; and the Kellogg Institute located at the University of Notre Dame, USA.
Dr. Torneo also serves as the Director of the Jesse M. Robredo Institute of Governance (formerly La Salle Institute of Governance), a research and training unit based at the De La Salle University, where Dr. Torneo is also a Professor of the Department of Political Science.
His areas of specialty when it comes to research are topics on international migration, public sector reforms, comparative public administration, empirical assessment of public policy impacts, performance management, emotional labor, and the use of data in development and governance work.
